WHO IS OLAOLU??

Olaolu Ogunyemi is a loving husband, father, mentor, award-winning writer, and U.S. Marine Officer with a deep passion for working with children fueled by an unending supply of energy and imagination! Since he was young, Olaolu has been nicknamed the “life of the party” because he pours his exuberant personality into everything he does.

Olaolu was born the fifth of six children in Ruston, Louisiana. He attended three separate schools (Alma J. Brown Elementary, Simsboro High School [SHS], and Ruston High School) before graduating with honors from SHS. Upon graduating from SHS, Olaolu continued his education at Grambling State University (GSU). While there, he was an active participant in several organizations and community service initiatives to include Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Fraternity, Earl Lester Cole Honors College, Bernice Church of God in Christ, Praise Temple Ruston, and more!

Olaolu graduated cum laude from GSU with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps! While awaiting active duty service, Olaolu accepted an exciting job as a Computer Programmer/analyst at Tyson Foods Inc. He continued in that position until he began his active duty service as a Communications Officer in 2013.

Olaolu was inspired to start writing children’s stories to help create loving and memorable family moments. He is the author of the Amazon best-selling children’s book, “Crow From the Shadow,” “Horace the Horsefly,” and “Billy Dipper’s Time to Shine.” He writes and speaks in a simple, easily understandable language, and an entertaining style that keeps listeners and readers hooked while learning vital lessons about virtues and sparking a continuing conversation.

Olaolu has one beautiful wife (Brea) and three wonderful children (Brilee, Jacob, and Eniola). He is a frequent traveler and in his free time, he enjoys playing music, exercising, writing, and spending time with his family.
