It feels incredible to be home after just over six months away. This deployment has been nothing short of transformative, and I’m grateful for every challenging and rewarding moment. Serving as a U.S. Marine is a privilege, and I’m honored to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the greatest Sailors in the Navy.

During this deployment, I had the unique opportunity to explore a few European countries. From the historic streets of Crete, Greece to the breathtaking landscapes of Limassol, Cyprus, each experience reminded me of the beauty and diversity of our world. These moments of exploration were not just about sightseeing; they were about connecting with different cultures and gaining a deeper appreciation for the freedoms we defend.

An Opportunity to Serve

One of the most fulfilling aspects of this deployment was the chance to give back through three volunteer opportunities. I engaged with local youth during each experience, which warmed my heart and energized me to continue to find ways to inspire our youth. Even with the language barrier in some cases, seeing their smiles reinforced the importance of service and creating memorable experiences with our children. Those enriching moments reminded me of the power of how small actions can make a big difference and why I am actively searching for more opportunities to interact with and inspire our youth.

Of course, deployments are not without their challenges. There were long days, missed milestones back home, and frustrating moments. But through it all, I’ve grown—as a man, Marine, husband, father, and writer. The bonds forged during this time, especially with my shipmates, are unbreakable. Together, we faced every obstacle with determination and a shared commitment to our mission.

An Opportunity to Rearm, Refit, and Reconnect

I’m looking forward to reconnecting with family and friends and embracing the simple joys of home. I will carry the lessons I’ve learned into the next chapter. This deployment may be over, but the journey of growth and service continues.

To my fellow Marines and Sailors, thank you for your unwavering support and camaraderie. To those still deployed, stay strong and know you have a nation’s gratitude behind you. Here’s to many years of resilience, service, and adventures.

Cheers to the #1 crew on the #1 ship in the fleet!! #StingersUp #SemperFi
