“$28?! No family and friends discount??” 😳

I’ve heard a variation of this a few times since launching Lead Last. And look… as a cheap guy who is always looking for a good deal, I don’t blame you one bit! Even though my own family doesn’t ask for a discount, I get it…We all love a bargain.

But it got me thinking late one night about how we approach investment in our long-term leadership growth (I know that’s a cheesy transition to leadership thoughts, but it’s where my brain took me while driving to a hotel at 2:00 a.m…So give me a break lol)

Many of us, myself included, are often quick to look for shortcuts, quick fixes, or the “friends and family discount” in personal growth. We want the title, influence, and respect, but we don’t want to work for it. The idea of sacrificing, grinding, earning respect, reading/studying, and demonstrating your worth to the organization is becoming a foreign concept. Instead, we show up expecting benefits, privilege, and special treatment.

Here’s the reality:

Real leadership development isn’t cheap. It’s going to cost you something. You’ll have to sacrifice time doing what you want or enjoying quality time with loved ones, accept feedback–even when misplaced–with humility without losing your dignity, and be willing to consistently prioritize others’ needs above your own.

These are qualities you need to build a culture of trust, and shorting an investment in things that are important isn’t the way to go.

That’s my “two cents” for today.

My Investment in Your Leadership Growth

I don’t take my obligation to develop the next generation of impactful leaders lightly. That’s the entire premise behind Parent-Child-Connect. Accordingly, I believe that financial barriers shouldn’t keep people from accessing the tools they need to grow. In other words, a great framework shouldn’t be a luxury item.

So, because I love a good deal and want to make these 21 counterintuitive principles accessible to absolutely everyone, I’m offering a deal even the cheapest folks can get behind.

On Thursday, June 11th, the Lead Last eBook price is dropping to $0.99 on Amazon for ONE DAY ONLY

Let me be transparent: Is this part of a larger marketing strategy to push the eBook? Yes. Those who know me know I’m a straight shooter.

BUT does it help those who are looking for an opportunity to support at a good deal? Absolutely!

Now that the price barrier is officially gone, what’s your excuse? If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to invest in your leadership journey, this is your opportunity.

Here is our 2-step game plan for Thursday:

  1. Grab the eBook for $0.99 (Keep in mind that Amazon requires Kindle eBook purchases to be made through its website, not the app!) Add a reminder to your phone and buy it.
  2. Leave an honest review on Amazon or Goodreads if you enjoy it. Everyone knows that reviews go a long way in every industry.

Mark your calendars for June 11th, and let’s make some noise, invest in our growth, and push this message to everyone who needs it! 🚀
